I had looked for some earlier reference and had come across a Steve Beard article over at Thunderstruck that appeared to show Bono using that line in the Heart of America tour on Dec. 1st, before his visit to Willow, thus the doubts. I should have thought to email you. I've gone ahead and removed the disclaimer.

Hi Chad, don't worry about it. You might have noticed that I took your blog link down. That wasn't punishment for not commenting on my blog the prerequisite number of times...it just seemed to me (from the restricted access) that you were more interested in keeping your blog a "closer-knit subscription community." If you ever get the urge to do a more public sorta blog let me know, I'd love to link to it.Kimberly Cangelosihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00739099899201439587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13004974.post-1138977768069679942006-02-03T08:42:00.000-06:002006-02-03T08:42:00.000-06:00I saw that you thanked me t'other day on here. So....I saw that you thanked me t'other day on here. So...you're welcome. I apologize for not seeing it until now. It's been hard for me to keep up with your blog, mostly due to a combination of the prolificity and Willowcentrism therein, versus the closer-knit subscription community of xanga that owns the lion's share of my online time.seegeepeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12734814584567326435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13004974.post-1138977473734052772006-02-03T08:37:00.000-06:002006-02-03T08:37:00.000-06:00Hi - if you'd wanted to know how I knew that quote...Hi - if you'd wanted to know how I knew that quote was from Hybels, you could have just emailed me, and I'd have been happy to give you the background. Bono met with Bill Hybels on the DATA Heart of America tour in Dec 2002 (before the book blog started, so there's no mention of the event on U2 sermons altho it was covered elsewhere), and after that meeting quoted Hybels as having given him the advice he now repeatedly attributes to "a wise man." Thanks for the link.U2 Sermonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07175811025898393942noreply@blogger.com
