Presentiment is that long shadow on the lawn
Indicative that suns go down;
The notice to the startled grass
That darkness is about to pass.

-Emily Dickinson

Our share of night to bear,
Our share of morning,
Our blank in bliss to fill,
Our blank in scorning.

Here a star, and there a star,
Some lose their way.
Here a mist, and there a mist,
Afterwards - day!

-Emily Dickinson

I never really got the poetry bug, to tell you the truth. But she's got all the heart and half the bs of most poets (present company excluded, of course!!) so I dig it :)
