What's Up and Red Rock Pictures

What's Up:

  •  On Sunday Mom and Dad watched Remy so Ross and I could go out and have some fun. We talked about going to see Prometheus but it was such a beautiful day we decided to go to Red Rock instead. What a great choice! We went to the Willow Springs picnic area near the back of the park and hiked the area a bit and got to see the famous pictographs and petroglyphs left long ago by the native american inhabitants of the valley.

  • My gastro doctor said my biopsies came back normal so now we just need to focus on healing my gastric erosions and avoiding any diverticulitis. He also said I need to try to minimize stress which I have already started to do because...
  • I recently joined a Yoga studio. I love it. It makes me feel amazing. I am so unaccustomed to feeling calm and relaxed that the first time I drove home after a class I felt like I was doing something wrong because usually when I am driving I have sweaty palms and am tense all over...but I got home fine so apparently you can operate a car when relaxed!
  • I have also started seeing a psychologist to help with the anxiety. I have only gone twice but Ross went with me once and that was really interesting. It's awkward for me but I am glad that I am taking charge of my mental health and doing something good for me.
  • Remy is in the middle of his long awaited Autism Clinic (which is the fancy name for Early Intervention's diagnosis process). He has completed his Bayley in which he scored at about the 17/18 month level, and the ADOS which I will not hear the results of until our final appointment which is with the pediatrician on July 2nd. I would love your prayers for the most accurate information possible from these evaluations and for peace for Ross and me no matter what the outcome is.
  • Less than a month until our North Carolina vacation! We are going back for Ross's Dad's birthday which just happens to be on Independence Day so it will be a double celebration. A triple celebration if you count my birthday which we will also be there for. We'll be staying at his parent's lake house on the beautiful Lake Gaston. I can't wait for Remy to go on his first boat ride, I think he is going to love it. He is also going to love going swimming every day and playing on the big lawn that stretches from the house down to the lake. He doesn't get to play on a lot of grassy lawns in Las Vegas.
  • I can't believe it isn't even summer yet. We've already had ten days over 100 degrees and we are supposed to reach 110 by the weekend. The Yukon's air conditioner is having a very hard time keeping up! It's gonna be a hot and sweaty summer!
