Vacation Pictures, Part I

We flew into North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon and spent the first two days of our trip at Ross's parents house in Raleigh. This is the little courtyard between the garage/guest house building and the main house. Even with the drought they've been having there, the garden was beautiful!

Labor Day Weekend

Hi everybody! Hope no one was alarmed by my long absence...No internet here at the new apartment so I have to sneak on using my neighbors wifi ;P Don't worry though, I've ordered internet service from Verizon and I should be rejoining the world of the blogging pretty soon. In the meantime I thought I'd post a couple of pictures from this weekend. On Sunday Ross and I went over to Lord's Park to visit the chickens and buffalos and I snapped some pictures on my camera (not of the buffalo and chickens, unfortunately.)


On Monday Mom and Dad took us over to the riverboat and showed us around. The sight of the Wheel of Fortune machine got Ross's heart pounding, but we managed to get him out of there before he could get into any trouble. We also spent some time this weekend trying to get into Heroes. Visually it is very cool, but the writing doesn't measure up to our current favorites, Battlestar Galactica and Felicity.

In other news, now that I've got insurance I went to the doctor about my cough. She put me on Advair, but the bronchitus was so bad that even two and a half weeks later I'm still wheezing. It's wearing me out, but next week Ross and I are going on vacation to his parent's lake house in NC and there should be plenty of time for R&R. I'll be sure to take pics and update you all on the trip when I get back!

Beautiful Weekend

Hi everybody! Hope you are all having a great week! This one seems to be flying by! Just wanted to post some pics I took on Sunday. Ross had rehearsal early so I had three hours on my own and I decided to go for a walk. These are some pictures I took at the North Ave Beach and Lincoln Park. It was a hazy day, and I took the pictures on my camera phone, so they are a bit blue and grainy :P

Movin' On Up!

This week we finally moved out of training and into transition which means we're upstairs now taking phone calls and, most importantly, we have our own desks! And somehow I ended up with a corner desk right at the window. They are going to have to pry me away from that desk when transition is over in September ;)

How was your Weekend?

Hi guys! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was very cool. Ross's schedule is getting back to normal ,and I'm loving having him off on Saturdays again. Of course, in a couple of weeks my schedule will change and I'll be working Saturdays. Oh well, we're going to enjoy it while it lasts! Here are some pics from this weekend for y'all!

Friday night I bought me some Rollerblades! My first ever! Awwww, aren't they adorable? :P

Saturday we hung out with Bryan and Leighann. They live in the Lincoln Square neighborhood and there was a German-American fest going on so we all walked down there to partake in some yummy, German goodness. Beer, brats and saurkraut - Dad would have loved it!

And Sunday we watched the last three episodes of the second season of Doctor Who. Exterminate! Delete! Exterminate! Delete! Hehehe :P

Anniversary Date

Not the date of our anniversary (which changes from 5/17 to 5/21 to 6/3, depending on my mood) but the date celebrating the anniversary.

Work

We're wrapping up the fourth week of training today. I can't believe how quickly the last month has flown by! So far I love it at Verizon, but I'll have to tell you how I feel after we take our first real calls next week ;P This is a picture of the call center, taken on my snazzy new phone :)
