Willow Creek Community Church in the News

One Week, 7 New Homes
Willow Creek Community Church members will travel next month to Bay St. Louis, Miss., where they will work with Habitat for Humanity to build new homes for those who lost theirs to Hurricane Katrina.

Known as a "Blitz Build," the project will involve 210 volunteers helping to construct seven houses in just a week.

Volunteers pre-framed six homes earlier this month in the South Barrington church's parking lot. Church-goers later signed the frames and were invited to write encouraging words to the future occupants.

Car Show Meant to Get Dad to Church

Leaders of Willow Creek Community Church are once again thinking outside the box in their quest to build membership — this time with a car show meant to coincide with Father’s Day weekend.

The South Barrington megachurch plans to open its 40-acre parking lot Saturday and Sunday to more than 200 antique and custom vehicles during a full-fledged outdoor celebration called DadFest, which also includes games, live music and free food.
