Fuzzy Cat

I haven't posted a cat painting in a while so here is one of my favorites. This is acrylic on Arches 140lb, cold pressed paper. I usually don't remember where my paintings end up, but I remember this one because it is the only painting I ever shipped to Germany!

I looks like you can just reach out and pet the cat ;)

Ya WOW Kim, again the eyes are just amazing how do you get them to look so real and clear like that???

Thanks guys! The key to good eyes is accuracy in shape and placement and good highlights, shadows and reflections. Highlights inside the eye and reflections on the surface.

That's great. I'd be proud to have that painting on my wall.

Kimmy I also love this one ...did you do it on blue paper?

Thanks guys, the paper is white, but I covered it in that gray-blue before I started painting the cat.
