Bill Hybels' Book Club

This weekend Bill offered some great tips on how to make the most out of your summer. Tip #3, read a great book. Here are his recommendations;

The End of Poverty by Jeffrey Sachs

The Barbarian Way by Erwin McManus

God's Politics by Jim Wallis

Hmmm, where to start? I think I want to read God's Politics first because I've heard so much about it. Any of you read any of these? Your comments are welcome!

I have read "The Barbarian Way". I am such a huge fan of Erwin McManus. He is way ahead of his time. Or should I say he is living in his time to the fullest. I give huge props to "The Barbarian Way". It as definieatly changed the way I practically live life.

Wow, first Impact gives away a car, now this...

I always suspected Bill and Oprah had more in common than just both being exuberant black women with eating disorders.

On a side note, I love reading, but I always hated those Summer reading lists in school. It's supposed to be vacation, idiots, not crapload-of-homework....ation. Yeah.

I am interested in "The Barbarian Way". I wonder if it would be a good Bible Study book?

That's a good idea Crystal, we should take a look at it and see what we think.
